Sol-Lux awnings may have been created in 2017, but their parent company, Carefree of Colorado, has been developing and delivering awnings and accessories for the RV industry since 1971. Carefree Colorado’s focus on delivering exceptional performance ensures users experience their awning’s quality performance with a product that provides value with style. Made in the United States in Broomfield, Colorado, Sol-Lux maintains that level of expectation in both their exterior window awnings and residential patio awnings. They offer three products to ensure your customized awnings provide energy-saving sun protection for your home.
Mirage patio awnings feature a fully enclosed aluminum cassette with zinc-plated components to withstand extreme weather exposure and minimize degradation. These awnings span up to 21 feet wide and 12 feet extended with marine grade acrylic fabrics, adjustable pitch, motorized for ease of use, with a dimmable lighting option and built-in wind sensors that will automatically retract your awning to protect itself from wind damage.
Freedom patio awnings may not be as large as the Mirage, with a 15-foot width and an eight-foot extension, but they are similar to the Mirage in their construction. Like the Mirage, Freedom awnings also offer marine grade acrylic fabrics, adjustable pitch, motorization for ease of use, the dimmable lighting option, and a built-in wind sensor that will automatically retract your awning to protect itself from wind damage; however, it sets itself apart with its solar-powered operation, its popular voice assistants and the Somfy® application to help make your usage of this line as seamless as possible.
EOS exterior window awnings are small but efficient. They support window widths from 39 inches to 120 inches. EOS offers solar-powered motorization, which automatically functions when sensing sunlight, wind, and temperature changes, requiring zero user interaction. EOS still offers manual controls to adjust the default settings through the Sol-Lux app, giving you complete customizable control to meet your needs. EOS exterior window awnings adjust their position based on the outdoor weather and temperature to help with your home’s energy efficiency.
ASI, or “All Screened In,” is an exterior shade company. This brand claims their shades are “possibly over-engineered,” but with Central Oregon’s temperature extremes and high winds, that isn’t bad. ASI’s Fortress Exterior Shades are hands down the strongest shade on the market and are remote control operable for ease of use. These shades quite easily can help your outdoor area feel and look like an extension of the interior of your home.
- These shades are tough. They have been impact-tested and manufactured to withstand 110 mph winds. With heavy-duty extrusions made here in the US, ASI offers Omegatex Hurricane Screen to Nano Insect Screen. With their corners glued, welded, and sewn for reinforcement, it’s no wonder they are the strongest shades on the market.
- These shades come as large as 20 ft by 20 ft, offering blackout to clear vinyl for your viewing needs, and are flexible enough to handle sloping patios. ASI shades can be installed inside or outside mount to suit your exterior shade needs best.
